Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Jay Davis lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. His work has been widely exhibited including solo shows at: Stefan Stux Gallery, New York City; Shoshana Wayne Gallery, Santa Monica, California; Mary Boone Gallery, New York City; Motus Fort Gallery, Tokyo; Bryan Miller Gallery, Houston; and Andrew Rafacz
Gallery, Chicago.

His work is included in many public and private collections including Deutsche Bank, Chase, Progressive, Saatchi, and Zabludowicz.

In 2010 he was awarded with the New York Foundation for the Arts fellowship in Painting.
